OUR STORY

The space is steeped in creative energy—from hand-painted signage by Ben Hubard of BenBusy to a stairwell mural preserving the previous business’ signs created by celebrated sign artist Sean Barton. As for the Cantina del Sol sound - coming soon: record-spinning DJ sets, low-lit Latin soul, cumbia, and balearic grooves drifting across the rooftop—think laid-back nights made for sipping, swaying, and staying awhile.

Cantina del Sol is the only Mexican concept in the building, located solely on the rooftop. Next up: a take-out-only window launching in late June 2025 out of the Summit-facing walk-up window with parklet seating on Summit (next to Cantina del Sol’s entrance).

A separate bar concept and restaurant concept will open on the ground floor and are slated to open summer and early fall, each with familiar ties to Seattle’s restaurant history and a bit of a Capitol Hill comeback story.
