Last year Mercado Luna, a collection of Mexican food-and-beverage businesses, closed down, meaning that since September a big building on Pine Street has sat empty. But it’s getting filled by something called Cantina Del Sol, reports Capitol Hill Seattle. This is another project from Travis Rosenthal’s Pike Street Hospitality Group, which owns among other things the bar Inside Passage and the waterfront Mexican cafe Agua Verde; it might be best known, however, for bringing back well-loved Capitol Hill sandwich shop Honeyhole last year. It’s unclear exactly what Cantina Del Sol will be or when it will open.
